'Batman'. 

Norm Breyfogle was born in 1960 in Iowa City, Iowa. From a very early age, he liked drawing. When he was 12 years old he began taking private lessons. During his time in high school he co-plotted, wrote, and illustrated a comic book called 'Tech-Team' for Michigan Technological University. After high school Breyfogle attended Northern Michigan University, studying art.  During his time in college, he worked as an illustrator for a magazine and also for a graphics company.

From 1984 on, Breyfogle worked for DC's New Talent Showcase. He also drew for 'Tales of Terror', a horror anthology for Eclipse, a 'Captain America' story in Marvel Fanfare, and 'Whisper' for First Comics. Later on,h he teamed up with writer Alan Grant, were he drew the Batman stories for six years (1987-1993), penciling Detective Comics from 1987-1990, then moving to Batman to introduce the new Robin in 1990, and finally starting a new Batman series for DC called 'Shadow of the Bat' in 1992. In 1994, he wrote and illustrated his own comic called 'Metaphysique' for Malibu's Bravura line.

In 1999, Breyfogle began work on 'Batman: Dreamland'. In 2000, he pencilled a pair of annuals for Marvel Comics, which led to a mini series called 'Hellcat'. He passed away in 2018.
