'L'Encre du Passé'.

Martin Leclerc was born in 1976 near Grenoble, and spent most of his childhood copying Morris' 'Lucky Luke' stories. He studied at the Sciences Po Grenoble and created the fanzine Youkaïda. Since 2000, he lives in Paris, where he draws comics under the pseudonym Maël and is lead singer in the folk rockgroup HitchcockGoHome!.

'Notre Mère la Guerre'.

Maël cooperated with the writers Nathal and Gibert on the 'Tamino' series at Glénat from 2004. In 2005, he produced 'Les Rêves de Milton', written by Frédéric Féjard and Sylvain Ricard and published in the Aire Libre collection of the publishing house Dupuis. This was followed by the one shots 'Dans la Colonie Pénitentiaire' with Sylvain Ricard (Delcourt, 2007) and 'L'Encre du Passé' with Antoine Bauza (Dupuis, 2009). In 2009, he started the series 'Notre Mère la Guerre' with Kris at Futuropolis.
