Miss Lasko-Gross was born in 1977 in Boston, Massachusetts, and is a graduate of Pratt Institute. Miss (short for Melissa) established herself in the industry as editor of the school's funny, sometimes irreverent comic book, 'Static Fish'. Her work has appeared in Mauled 1, House of Twelve 2.0, and Legal Action Comics #1, among others. She also released 3 issues of her own self-published series 'AIM' and is the author of the autobiographical graphic novels 'Escape from Special' (based loosely on the author's life growing up as a Jewish girl in the suburbs, 2008) and 'A Mess of Everything', published by Fantagraphics.
