'Spencer Steel'.
The animator and comic artist Edwin Loughlin was the artist of the syndicated 'Spencer Steel' comic, which he signed Dennis Colebrook, in 1937-39. Affiliated to the Will Eisner- Jerry Iger Studio in 1938-39, Loughlin also provided art for Fiction House comic books. He drew features like 'Gilday Gray', 'Heroes of Sports' and 'Peter Pupp'. 'Spencer Steel' found his way to the Jumbo Comics comic book around in this period. Around 1940, he worked as an animator for the Fleischer Studios.
