Stefan Neville grew up on a steady diet of 'Whizzer and Chips', 'Whoopee', 'Beano', 'The Incredible Hulk' and of course, 'Tintin' and 'Asterix'. He still remembers how his dad, Geoff Neville, who created the strip 'Waitemata Gull', explained to him and his sister how to draw comics. Stefan Neville's sister Indira Neville is also active as a comic artist, being the creator of 'Nice Gravy'.
As a member of New Zealand's most enthusiastic mini-comics group, Oats Comics (co-founded in 1991 by Gfrenzy, Sugar Jon and Biff Bangle), Neville contributed and produced numerous titles. Some of these are: 'Dad + Tracy', 'The New Dixon' and 'The City of Tales Collections' (co-created with Clayton Noone), and the comic is up to its third volume. Stefan Neville also sings in a band, called Pumice.
